Q. Examiners are stating that total inventory should not include bushels in unapproved storage. Unapproved bushels should be included in TPR.
A. User needs to have a location that is marked as unapproved on their DPR. Or, at least have a location that is not used to store any grain. Uncheck the Print on DPR checkbox for the unapproved location for each commodity that has an unapproved balance. Make sure the Print on TPR checkbox is checked. This will include the company owned bushels in the unapproved location in the company owned calculation for TPR. They will not be included in the bushels in total inventory.
Note: Users will need to remember that company owned on the DPR for the entire company won't equal the total company owned on the TPR. To test if the difference is because of an unapproved location print the TPR with the show locations individually checkbox checked. The total units of company owned in unapproved locations should equal the difference between company owned in approved locations and company-wide company owned on the TPR.
