Error 'Access to Path Denied' When Logging into Different Databases


Q.  I tried to log into a prior year database from the Login screen and received the error message ‘Access to the path S:\fyav2009\SSITest.Fll’ is denied' (or similar path). This also happens when trying to use the dropdown box in the Hub to log into a different dataset. How can I fix this?

A.  This error can happen when an Agvance database is in a folder that does not have Write access permissions. To enable access, make sure all data folders for the current year and prior fiscal and payroll years are set to grant full permissions to the Windows profiles of all Agvance users.
