A Grain Settlement can be used to make payment on a Customer's AR balance.
- To apply a Grain Settlement to a Customer’s AR account, a Settlement Deduction must first be set up at Grain / Setup / Settlement Deduction.
Note: This is a one-time setup done prior to creating Settlement checks. - Select Credit AR under the Class of Deduction section. Double-click and select the General Ledger Account to affect when using this Deduction.
- In the Invoice Item field, double-click to select the Product that will be used on the Invoice created.
- Begin the Settlement at Grain / Operations / Settlement. When adding a Settlement, the Customer’s AR balance will display to help decide if the Settlement should be applied.
- The To DPR should be set to Priced if using for an AR balance.
- Select Apply to Destination to populate the Settlement Deductions grid. Double-click and add the AR Payment deduction previously set up. Enter the Amount and set the Action to Deduct. Once saved, the credit Invoice is created in Accounting.
