Explanation of Options When Using Classifications on Agvance Reports

Q.  When choosing classifications to narrow report results in Agvance, the following options are available to choose from at the bottom of the Classifications window:

  • Include if ANY are true
  • Include if ALL are true
  • Include if ANY are false
  • Include if ALL are false

What do these options mean?

A.  Include if ANY are true will return only those items that exist in any of the selected classifications.

Include if ALL are true will return only those items that are in all of the selected classifications.

Include if ANY are false will return only those items that are not in all of the selected classifications.
Example: The database contains 4 products: A, B, C & D. Classification Anhydrous has product A and Classification VRT has products A and B. Using Include if Any are false will return products B, C and D when both classifications are selected.

Include if ALL are false will return only those items that are not in any of the selected classifications.
Example: The database contains 4 products: A, B, C & D. Classification Anhydrous has product A and Classification VRT has products A and B. Using Include if ALL are false will return products C and D when both classifications are selected.
