Q. When requesting a liquid blend in form-U-net, the products and quantities reported in the Mix Results grid do not calculate to the grade requested. In addition, the Formulation Results show a dollar quantity in the Other category that shouldn’t be there. How can this be corrected?
A. In the example above, form-U-net is using products to create this blend but all of the products are not displaying. This is a function of the Mix option on the items in Material Groups / Edit Activities.
The Mix feature is commonly used when custom applying Ag chemicals that will be added to the blend in the field rather than being mixed in the truck while at the plant. When the Mix option is not selected, the plant operator receives a Mix Sheet, as shown below, for a liquid blend asking for 30 Lbs. of N plus 1 Qt. per acre of 2,4-D LV6 on 20 acres. 2,4-D LV6 is not listed in the Material Name grid with the UAN-32% to be blended at the plant.
If the Mix option is selected for 2,4-D LV6 , the Mixing Sheet contains 2,4-D LV6 in the Material Name grid, as shown below.
